Indigenous Led Project Management team and Event Planners

We provide Indigenous-led project management and event planning with a core focus on cultural safety and responsiveness. Our programs are meticulously designed and delivered, incorporating traditional protocols and adapting to specific local cohort needs. We are committed to the highest standards of quality assurance and cultural appropriateness, ensuring all materials are professionally developed with guidance from Indigenous stakeholders. From end-to-end event logistics (including venue, transport, and catering with cultural consideration) to ensuring accessibility for diverse participants (CALD, disabled, etc.), we coordinate closely with local Aboriginal organizations, leaders, and Elders to embed community wisdom and provide continuous support.

Experience;

The repeated nature of these roles (Yuin Nation Birriga Bunaan 2026-2025, 2024; Black Duck Bunaan 2020; Nation Dance Yuin 2019) strongly indicates a sustained and evolving experience in project management within a cultural context.

Goal Definition: Collaborating with Yuin Nation Elders, community members, and stakeholders to define the purpose and objectives of each cultural event (e.g., preserving traditions, showcasing art, fostering community connection).

  • Human Resources: Engaging performers, artists, cultural knowledge holders, volunteers, and event staff.
  • Financial Resources: Developing budgets, seeking grants, sponsorships, or community funding.
  • Material Resources: Sourcing venues, equipment (sound, lighting, staging), traditional materials, food, etc.
  • Timeline Development: Creating detailed schedules, setting milestones, and establishing deadlines for various tasks.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential challenges (e.g., weather, funding shortfalls, logistical issues, community engagement) and developing mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Management: Liaising extensively with a wide range of stakeholders:

  • Yuin Nation Elders and community leaders (crucial for cultural integrity and guidance).
  • Artists and performers.
  • Local government and regulatory bodies (permits, health and safety).
  • Sponsors and funders.
  • Vendors and suppliers.
  • The general public/attendees.
  • Logistics Management: Overseeing all logistical aspects, including:
  • Venue setup and breakdown.
  • Transportation of equipment and personnel.
  • Accommodation for out-of-town participants.
  • Catering and hospitality.

Post-Event Wrap-up: Overseeing the dismantling of venues, returning equipment, and final payments.

  • Reporting: Preparing reports for stakeholders, funders, and community leaders.
  • Lessons Learned: Conducting post-event reviews to identify successes, challenges, and areas for improvement for future events. This is especially evident with the recurring nature of the Bunaan events.
  • Community Feedback: Gathering feedback from participants and the community to assess the impact and success of the event.
